New Year = New Updates

I haven't written anything on here for a while, given the past few months have been hectic with non-stop work, especially with the build up to Christmas and the new year. It's usually always busy, but this time was even moreso, which is a good thing of course. With that now passed, time to re-focus on some other things, like writing, both blogs & reviews and of course, music.

Six months have now passed since I released 'MindsEye' through my own label, Room 106 Productions, with the feedback I've received being mostly positive. It's reassuring that musically speaking I know I made the right choice in producing the record myself, as I have with all my previous efforts, but this time I genuinely put full effort into the recording & production, investing in better equipment and taking my time and not rushing it through just so that I have 'something' recorded. It came out how I intended it too. Result.

Result. Another good thing about recording the album entirely myself was the fact that there is, essentially, another albums worth of material that I recorded in the process that never made the album cut, as it would have made 'MindsEye' about 100 minutes long. That's not an album, that's a fucking movie score, and seeing as I wasn't
commissioned to make a film score, the overall process of track elimination had to be done and done in the right way.

Now, all the leftover tracks, as well as alternative versions of some originals already featured on 'MindsEye', will, at some point this year, be released in their intended ep's, one at a time over the 2014 period. I haven't decided yet through what platform online they will be released through, but it's safe to say that they will be MP3 downloads and easy to access.

I'll be posting up details soon, but if you don't already, Like my facebook  & follow me on twitter. It's the easiest way of receiving updates and such. Also, again, if you're a band or a musician with a genuine product that you would like reviewed/critiqued, send me a message via the contact form or via facebook. No demos, no cd's, just read the homepage
for all the information and I will check out your tunes. Until then, Happy 2014 Everyone!
